Service Desk and Remote Management & Monitoring API Keys

The Remote Management API key is used by Service Desk to extract data from Remote Management & Monitoring and the Service Desk API key is used by Remote Management to extract data from Service Desk.

Remote Management API Key

The Remote Management API key is stored in both Remote Management & Monitoring and Service Desk and can be accessed and changed from both application UIs.

If you need to regenerate the Remote Management & Monitoring API key, you must then communicate the new key to Service Desk.

Service Desk API Key

The Service Desk API key is stored in both applications but you cannot access it via the Service Desk UI. You can, however, add and change it in the Remote Management & Monitoring UI.

If the Service Desk API key has been changed in Service Desk it must be updated in Remote Management & Monitoring:
