Regenerate RMM API Key

  1. In the RMM Dashboard go to Settings - General Settings - API.
  2. Click on the Regenerate button alongside the API Token field:

It may be necessary to change the existing API key in RMM but please be aware that anything that uses the existing key to authenticate against the public API will stop working - including the Service Desk integration. As a result, any changes to the API key must be communicated to Service Desk (and any other applications using it).
  4. Next you need to replace the old RMM API key stored in Service Desk with the new one. See Replace RMM API Key in Service Desk.
