Scan Mobile Devices

For scanning Android and Apple iOS devices, Risk Intelligence provides a native mobile app available via the Google Play store or from the iTunes App Store.

If you decide you want to scan mobile devices in your organization, you can find App Distribution details in the Risk Intelligence web application.

In the left Navigation panel, click on Scan Mobile Devices.

The App Distribution tab is displayed, showing a short code for App Registration and offering two distribution options:

  • Option 1 - Distribute via Email or Text Message
  • Option 2 - Distribute via Web App or Single Sign-On

Option 1 - Distribute via Email or Text Message

The application provides a default message with instructions on how to install the app on Apple and Android. Copy and past this text into an email or text message and distribute as you wish:

An administrator for Example Retail has requested that you install the iScan Online Mobile Security App on your mobile device.

If you have an Apple iOS device, the iScan Online Mobile App can be downloaded from iTunes.

After installing, launch the app and enter the following shortcode for registration:

Option 2 - Distribute via Web App or Single Sign-On

You can integrate the Risk Intelligence Mobile app and mobile scanning into any web application using some simple JavaScript.

When integrating into a web application you can select a specific scan type to run on the device. Scanning is usually integrated into a logon process. For example, when logging into a time sheet or CRM system, you could scan devices on a monthly basis.

  1. First, select a mobile scan from the table:
  2. Using the scan details selected, the JavaScript is generated.

  3. Copy the generated JavaScript and embed in your web application.
