Installation Settings

The Installation Settings section, only supported in the Web Protection engine included from Agent 10.4.4, governs the behavior of the Agent during deployment including the handling of existing products, the default interface language and the company information displayed in the agent and services.

Agent Branding Settings

The following branding options are available for the agent and accessible via the task bar icon. Please note that these settings are applied when the agent is initially installed and any subsequent changes to the Company Name and Product Name settings are not applied to existing agents, however in-place updates to the Company Website, Company Phone and Company Email are applied to the About dialog of existing Agents.

When completing this information typically your own company details are used.

Note

Company Name

This name is displayed as the manufacturer in the agent UI and in the associated Windows Services.

Product Name

This name is displayed as the product in the agent UI and allows you to market Web Proteection under a name of your own design.

Please note that this name should not be the same as the Company Name above.

Company Website

The entered website is displayed in the Technical Support section of the agent’s About page.

Company Phone

The entered support contact phone number is displayed in the Technical Support section of the agent’s About page.

Company Email

The entered support email address is displayed in the Technical Support section of the agent’s About page.

Although we have provided the above options to brand the Web Protection agent, please be aware that the Web Protection icon itself is unbrandable and will always display the shield icon: web_protection_icon

By default the Company Name and Product Name are branded as Web Protection with the other settings blank and will appear as such in the About section of the Web Protection agent if unchanged.
