View Notes on the Dashboard

Where a note is recorded against a Check, Server or Workstation, an icon indicating the note type is displayed in the Notes column for that entity.

The Client can also view any available Client Facing Notes in their Client Dashboard (where configured).

Individual Notes

Device

  1. Log into the Dashboard
  2. Search for the Device containing the note in the north pane
  3. Click on the Device's note icon
  4. The Notes tab opens filtered by Device level notes

Check

  1. Log into the Dashboard
  2. Search for the Check containing the note in the north pane
  3. Click on the Check's note icon
  4. The Notes tab opens filtered by the notes created for this Check

Notes tab

  1. Log into the Dashboard
  2. Select the device in the north pane of the Dashboard
  3. Go to the Notes tab in the south pane
  4. All Notes recorded against the Device are displayed (both Device and Check level)

Dashboard Note Management

Dashboard Notes are managed through the Notes tab

  • Filter: click filter-on to Show only Notes for this entry (device or specific check), clickfilter-off to Show all Notes

  • Edit: click the pencil icon, amend the details, OK to save

  • Delete: click the red cross against a note then enter the password of the account you have logged into the Dashboard under to confirm deletion

Note Reporting

All Dashboard Notes (both Technical and Client Facing) are viewable in the Notes Report.

You can also opt to send a Client Facing Notes Report to the customer on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

Prompt for notes when clearing failed checks

To ensure notes are added against a failure after investigation, you can opt to prompt the technician to add a note when clearing (acknowledging) a check.

  1. Log into the Dashboard using an account with Notes permissions enabled
  2. Go to Settings > General Settings > Notes
  3. Enable Prompt for notes when clearing failed checks (optional)
  4. Click OK to save and apply
