BrightGauge use the Data Extraction API to pull the required information from the Dashboard into their system and there are three easy steps to get the integration up and running.
This Remote Management integration was created and is maintained by BrightGauge. As such we would suggest contacting BrightGauge directly in the event of any problems either in its initial implementation or subsequent usage.
1. Generate the API Key
To create the Dashboard API Token used by BrightGauge for communication.
Log in to the Dashboard as a Superuser or (non-Classic) Administrator level access, a login with the required General permissions enabled or the Agent Key (where Dashboard access is enabled).
Then go to:
- General Settings
- API Key
- Generate (or Regenerate where you wish to create a new API Token)
- OK to save and exit out of the dialog.
Suggestion: enter the recipient address in the optional Email API Token to section and Email Token to send an email containing both the API Token and connection URL
The API Token may be regenerated as often as required, with each regeneration overwriting the existing key. Please be aware that when you generate a new token then anything currently using the previous token will to authenticate against the API will stop working.

2. Select the integration within BrightGauge
Log into the Onboarding section of the BrightGauge subdomain to Select Your Services and under RMM click on the MAX button. Save & Continue to apply.
3. Enter the API Information
In the following Connect Services To BrightGauge screen click on the arrow beside MAX to display the API Information drop-down.
Enter the required details including the API Key, Host address - for example, www.systemmonitor.co.uk if registered on the UK Dashboard - as well as the port used for communication 443 (HTTPS).
Once complete select Continue to Import Your Clients into BrightGauge
4 Import the Clients into BrightGauge
In Mapping Your Clients tick the Client box to add all, or choose each individual tickbox for those Clients whose information is to be imported into BrightGauge. Save and Continue to begin transferring the data.
Once imported the returned information will now make it possible to generate custom reports within BrightGauge using the Report Builder as well as generate additional gauges.
