Remote Monitoring & Management Help

Install, update and remove - SUSE Family

There are a variety of methods to download, install and update the Linux Monitoring Agent via the Linux Agent Repository using zypper, deployment using RPM (Red Hat Package Management) or in the Graphical User Interface with YaST

But we suggest adding the rmmagent repository available from the following locations to manage these processes.

Each supported distribution and build has its own unique directory containing the relevant files and information for downloading, installing and updating the Linux Monitoring Agent:

http://repos.*/rmmagent/SLE_10/

http://repos.*/rmmagent/SLE_11/

http://repos.*/rmmagent/SLE_12_SP1/

http://repos.*/rmmagent/SLE_12_SP2/

http://repos.*/rmmagent/SLE_12_SP3/

http://repos.*/rmmagent/openSUSE_11.4/        +

http://repos.*/rmmagent/openSUSE_12.1/        +

http://repos.*/rmmagent/openSUSE_12.2/

http://repos.*/rmmagent/openSUSE_12.3/

+ A package is available, but we no longer test or develop for these distributions and as such the Agent is provided as is.

If unsure of the device architecture enter arch at the command prompt.

$ arch

i686

To display information on the distribution enter cat /etc/SuSE-release

$ cat /etc/SuSE-release

openSUSE 11.4 (i586)

VERSION = 11.4

CODENAME = Celadon

Further information and examples of the repository structure can be found in the Repositories section.
