Note Creation

How to add a Check Note

  1. Select the required Check in the Checks tab
  2. Click Check (or right-click on the Check) to display the menu and Add Check Note to open the Notes dialogue
  3. Enter the information in the Technical and / or Client-Facing Note sections
  4. Click OK  to save changes

How to add a Device Note

  1. Select the target device in the north pane of the Dashboard
  2. Click Server or Workstation (or right-click on the Check) to display the menu and Add Server Note or Add Server Note to open the Notes dialogue
  3. Enter the information in the Technical and / or Client-Facing Note sections
  4. Click OK  to save changes

Prompt to enter a Note when Clearing a Check and

When clearing checks the Dashboard Notes prompt can be displayed allowing notes to be entered against the checks as they are cleared.

  1. Go to Settings > General Settings > Notes
  2. Enable Prompt for notes when clearing failed checks
  3. OK to save changes.

Add a Note when Clearing a Check

  1. Select the device in the north pane of the Dashboard
  2. Go to the Checks tab
  3. Enable the tick box that corresponds to the target failed Check
  4. Select Save Changes above this pane to mark the Check as acknowledged
  5. Enter the information in the Technical and / or Client-Facing sections
  6. Where Allow user to select check clearing behavior when clearing checks is enabled in the Check Clearing Policy the user can Set check clearing behavior:

     

    • Keep check cleared until the check passes
    • Keep check cleared until next time the check runs
    • Keep check cleared until (date|time)
