Managed Antivirus Check

The Managed Antivirus Check monitors the performance of the Managed Antivirus Agent on the device and returns this information to the Checks tab on the Dashboard.

The More Information column display a summary of the discovered threats (for example 1 threat(s) found, 3 trace(s) in quarantine).

Click this line to open the More Information dialog containing detailed information on the Managed Antivirus Agent. In addition to this the Bitdefender engine includes the MAV agent version

The More Information dialog is split into four sections:

General Information

including the Managed Antivirus Agent's Policy name, the Last Communication time and Latest issue(s) (Bitdefender engine) / Quarantined (VIPRE engine) items

Active Protection

current protection status

Quick Scan

when the scan last ran along with the number of files scanned.

Deep Scan

when the scan last ran along with the number of files scanned.

This dialog also reflects any currently running scans.

The behavior of the Check differs depending on the antivirus engine:

  • Bitdefender engine: depending on policy configuration the Check fails where the Managed Antivirus Agent stops uploading data or a threat is quarantined.
  • VIPRE engine: the Check fails if a threat is quarantined and requires intervention, where Active Protection is off and a scan has not run for a specified number of days (as specified in the Protection Policy) or the Managed Antivirus Agent stops uploading data.
