Link Asset to Device

In order for failed checks from the Dashboard to open a Ticket under the correct Asset (device), an association must be created between the Dashboard Devices to the existing Assets in CommitCRM or a new CommitCRM Asset.

The association is created in the MAX Links Manager available from the Assets window and go to Tools, Open MAX Links Manager from the Assets drop-down to open the wizard.

Notes:

The wizard contains a list of available un-linked Assets from the Dashboard and is updated on an hourly basis. Where a missing file message is displayed it may indicate the initial setup was not completed and for more information please refer to Download Sites and Devices Files

Any new Devices that are created on the Dashboard are not added automatically as Assets in CommitCRM. As such please review the MAX Links Manager from time to time and see if there are any new un-linked devices. If so, link them to an Asset in CommitCRM or create a new Asset in CommitCRM based on them.

Where the External Link Manager is only available in read-only mode it may be necessary to change the CommitCRM Privileges
