Backup Manager GUI
The Backup Manager is the interface used to manage the backup on the device, From here you can configure additional data sources, initiate backups in the Professional edition and perform restores* on any server or workstations where Backup & Recovery is active.
- Log on to the device
- Click the Backup Manger icon on the desktop (where available)
- Go to Start > All Programs
- Open Backup & Recovery Backup Manager
- Right-click on the target device in the north panel of the Dashboard (or from the Server or Workstation drop-down)
- Go to Backup & Recovery
- Open Backup Manager
If changes are made to the Schedule, Backup selection or LocalSpeedVault in the Backup Manager, the policy is set at the individual level and the device no longer inherits the policy settings for the overall device type, Client or Site.
The HTML Backup Manager (available from Backup & Recovery 2014 onwards) is supported in Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and from Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 and has four tabs: Overview, Backup, Restore and Preferences.

Click Backup & Recovery in the header tab bar to display details on the device and Backup Manager version. From here you can also run a Connection Test to ensure data is successfully transmitted and received.
Backup & Recovery Column
The Backup & Recovery column - when selected from the Columns menu above the Dashboard's north pane - indicates the state of the Backup & Recovery installation for each device (green spot = active, yellow spot = pending etc) with this information also reported in the Summary tab for the device (Backup & Recovery - Active)
