Add Notes and Record Time from the Dashboard

When viewing the PSA Ticket and outage status in the Dashboard, either from the Outages or Checks tab, they include the option to review and add notes and time entries directly in the ticket.

Outages Tab

  1. Select the target device in the north pane of the Dashboard.
  2. Go to Outages.
  3. Navigate to the target outage and click on its entry in the PSA Ticket column.

Checks Tab

  1. Select the target device in the north pane of the Dashboard.
  2. Go to Checks.
  3. Navigate to the target Check and click on its entry in the More Information column.
  4. Got to the Current Outage tab.
  5. Click on View notes and time.

In either case this opens the Outage Information dialog. From here you can view the Outage status, review Notes and Time entries (use Refresh to reload) and click on the PSA ticket number to open the ticket in ConnectWise.

Before adding notes or time entries you must first ensure you are logged into ConnectWise. The top-right dropdown in the dialog displays the user you have logged into ConnectWise under, where you have not logged in PSA Login is displayed.

Click on the dropdown, click Login and enter your r ConnectWise credentials, or where you have logged in, the dropdown allows you to Switch PSA user.

Add Notes and Record Time Entries for the PSA Ticket

Notes

  1. Go to Notes
  2. Click on Add note.
  3. Enter the note text.
  4. Click Add to enter the note in the PSA Ticket.

Time

  1. Go to Time
  2. Click on Add time.
  3. Populate the required fields.
  4. Click Add to enter the time entry in the PSA Ticket.

As notes and time entries are created directly in the PSA ticket they use the timezone configured in the PSA, not the Dashboard timezone.
