Detecting banned software

In addition to entering the number of licenses the Client holds for the specified software groups, the Software License Setup section may also be used to detect and subsequently highlight where banned software is discovered on the Client's devices.

Once configured, a red exclamation box is displayed against the Software License Group for the Client on the Dashboard and Software License Check Reports whenever an installed instances of this software is discovered at the Client.

After creating the software groups the number of licenses held for this software can be added on a Client by Client basis in the Monitoring and Management Dashboard.

  1. Right-click on the Client in the left pane (or highlight the Client and go to Edit > Edit Client)
  2. Navigate to Software License Setup
  3. Enable the tickbox against the required Software License Group(s) and enter a license Count of 0
  4. OK to save changes and apply
