Remote Monitoring & Management Help

Workstation - Alert Configuration

One of the core element of a monitoring system is the generation of notification when a problem is detected. With Remote Monitoring & Management you can not only configure alerting when a problem is reported, but also setup a subsequent recovery notification when the problem is resolved.

The recovery Alert is particularly useful when used with an email based ticketing system to close the ticket for the Check outage or to make any on-call technicians aware of the change to the Check status.

The system allows you full control over when these notifications are generated and their delivery method (email and/or SMS).  You can configure Check Alerts at the Global or (as covered below), for multiple Checks on a device in the south pane or when adding or editing a specific Check.

The Alert email template may be configured to precisely match your requirements and additional information on this can be found in the sections: Workstation Error Alert Email Template

Alert Route used for Server Monitoring via Settings, Alert Settings are also applied to the Client's associated workstations.

Please note that Data Overdue and Data Received Alerts are not generated for workstations.

Single Alert on Daily Safety Check failure

Daily Safety Check failures on devices running Windows Monitoring Agent version 10 will only send a single notification (email or SMS) when the Check initial fails until the Check passes, rather than send a notification every time the Check fails.
