Add Script to the Dashboard

To add a script to the Dashboard go to:

  1. Settings
  2. Script Manager
  3. Select New
  4. In the Script Manager dialog enter
    • Description (required)
    • Usage Notes
    • Default Timeout (seconds)
    • Type
    • Script Check
      • Automated Task (Windows and Mac)
      • Operating System:
        • Windows
        • Mac OS
        • Linux
    • Upload a script
    • File upload: Browse to navigate to the script's location and select
    • Save to upload script to the Dashboard

Bash Scripts

To ensure a bash script runs successfully, declare the bash interpreter in the script: #!/bin/bash

For example:

#!/bin/bash

echo "Hello world"

exit 0

 

The Mac Agent supports Shell scripts and interpreted languages such as Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby for which there is a handler installed.

We are not liable for loss incurred from system, hardware or data loss. It is the customer/developers responsibility to verify the integrity, actions and impact of any custom scripts.
