Add a Script Check - Multiple Devices

Script Checks may be added on a single device or multiple computers.

 

Add (File Menu)

1.Go to File
2.Add Check
3.Choose Check
4.Select Operating System
5.Choose Check frequency
a)24x7 Checks
b)DSC Check
6.Select Script Check

 

a)Apply To: Choose the entity level (all Workstations, specific Clients or Sites. Devices matching the selection are displayed in the main window)
b)Add New and configure
a.Select the script

Scripts are displayed and grouped by function in expandable and contractable sections with the ability to search for a script).

Only scripts associated with the device's Operating System and uploaded for Script Checks are displayed.

b.Click Next to configure the script
c.Enter or configure the script parameters (if required)
d.Set a Script timeout (in the range 1 - 150 seconds)
e.To run an Automated Task when the Check fails choose Assign a Task after creating the Check (Windows and Mac)

 

7.Finish to save and apply

 

8.Where Assign a Task after creating the Check is selected (Windows and Mac)
a)Select the script
b)Click Next
c)Enter the Command Line parameters (if required)
d)Set a Script timeout (in the range 1 - 150 seconds)
9.Finish to save and apply
a)OK to continue
b)Review the confirmation dialog
c)OK to save and apply
10.OK to save and exit

 

Add (Device)

1.Select the device in the north pane of the Dashboard
2.Go to the Checks tab
3.Add Check
4.Choose the Check frequency
a)Add 247
b)DSC Check
5.Script Check
6.Configure the Check

 

a)Select the script

10.Finish to save and apply
