Datto Autotask PSA Integration Configuration

Passportal can integrate with Datto Autotask PSA and import users, companies, and configurations. It can also synchronize these lists going forward so that new records created in Datto Autotask PSA, will become automatically created in Passportal.

The user account being used to set up the Datto Autotask PSA sync needs to have either the "System Administrator" or "API user" security level permissions within Datto Autotask PSA.

Enabling Datto Autotask PSA Integration

  1. Click on Settings on the sidebar, then navigate to the Integration Center tab.
  2. Select Datto Autotask PSA.
  3. Enter an Datto Autotask system administrator's email address and password into the provided fields.
  4. Select Sync Users and/or Sync Clients. If you would like the integration to automatically add new users and clients to Passportal as they are created in Datto Autotask, select the Auto Create New Users and Auto Create New Companies.
  5. If you would like to synchronize Datto Autotask configurations and have these created as Assets in Passportal toggle on Sync Configurations. If you would like to synchronize Contacts and/or Locations enable Sync Contacts and/or Sync Locations.
  6. You will need to have the Documentation Manager enabled in order to integrate with Datto Autotask PSA. Please contact your Partner Development Manager if you are interested in enabling this feature.

  7. Select Save.
  8. If you have selected Sync Configurations, you will be prompted to select the types of configurations you wish to import.
  9. Once you have selected the configuration types, select Save Selection.
  10. Then select the Data Wizard button below the Configuration Types.

Selecting Users to Synchronize

  1. The next step is to synchronize the users from Datto Autotask to Passportal. To begin the user sync process, it will look to match all existing users set up in Passportal with their corresponding Datto Autotask users to be synchronized, which will ensure duplicates are not created.
  2. To do this, you can select Auto-Match All and it will match any with identical names.
  3. If you would prefer to manually match the users, you can also do this by clicking on Match and clicking on the corresponding user in the drop-down.
  4. For the remainder of the users select either the Create or Exclude buttons beside their names. If you have a large list you can just exclude the users you don't want and select the Create Unmatched button create the remaining users.
  5. If you excluded a user that you would like to later add, simply select the Excluded Records tab and select Create, Match or Exclude.
  6. Select Next.
  7. Remember, you will be able to revisit this page after the initial setup and change any of the settings or create any clients you had previously left uncreated.

Selecting Clients to Synchronize.

  1. The next step is to synchronize the clients from Datto Autotask to Passportal. To begin the client sync process, it will look to match all existing clients set up in Passportal with their corresponding Datto Autotask clients to be synchronized, which will ensure duplicates are not created.
  2. To do this, you can select Auto-Match All and it will match any with identical names.
  3. If you would prefer to manually match the clients, you can also do this by clicking on Match and clicking on the corresponding client in the drop-down.

  5. If you excluded a client that you would like to later add, simply select the Excluded Records tab and select Create, Match or Exclude.
  6. Select Next to move to the final step.

Setup Completion

  1. Once you have finished creating your clients, select Next.
  2. An overview of records to be created, matched, or excluded is displayed.
  3. Click Finish.
  4. All imported users, clients, configurations, contacts and locations will appear in Passportal under their respective areas.
