About Two-Factor authentication

SolarWinds N-central provides enhanced security protection through a two-step validation log in process.

Two-Factor authentication is an additional layer of security designed to prevent unauthorized access to your SolarWinds N-central account. With Two-Factor authentication configured, whenever you sign in to SolarWinds N-central, you will verify your identity by one of the following two methods:

  • AuthAnvil a combination of PIN and single-use password provided through a security token
  • Two-Step Verification - a passcode generated by a third-party authentication application.

By adding Two-Factor authentication to an account, the user must sign in to the account with their conventional password and the Two-Factor authentication credentials.

The NAC does not support two-factor authentication.
