N-central Help

Default roles

SolarWinds N-central includes a number of default roles to get your users up and running quickly. You can also create new roles or clone the defaults roles as a starting point. For more information, see What are roles.

These roles replace the previous Product Administrator, SO Admin/Tech/User, Admin User, Customer Dashboard User, and Remote Control User accounts.

Role Name Description
Default Administrator

Administrators set up Service Organizations and maintain the administrative functions of the SolarWinds N-central server. The Administrator has read/write access to all accounts within the customer. The Administrator sets up other Administrators, Users, and Customer Dashboard User accounts.

By default, this role includes ALL permissions for every SolarWinds N-central function.
