Delete a pending patch approvals

If you determine that an approved patch should not be installed, you can delete the patch from the Pending Patch Approvals list. This changes the patch to a state of No Approval.

When deleting an automated patch approval rule, SolarWinds N-central provides you an option to purge patches that are currently pending approval. You can choose to delete these patches or keep them. Keeping patches that are pending approval means these approvals will execute once the configured delay time, at the time of deletion, has expired.

  1. Click ConfigurationPatch Management.
  2. In the Pending Patch Approvals area, click the check box for a patch.
  3. Click Delete Selected.

The patch is removed from the Pending Patch Approvals list.

You can also remove the approved patch rule. When removing the rule, you have the option to delete or keep pending patch approvals.

  1. Click ConfigurationPatch ManagementAutomatic Approvals.
  2. Click the check box for the rule to delete.
  3. Click Delete.
  4. SolarWinds N-central displays window that lists the approved patches that will be removed. You can choose to remove or keep some or all of the patches.
