KBA10016: Agent is missing from the NOC View

The Agent Status service may not be visible from the customer or SO NOC view. This configured by a setting in the Administration Console, which is set to not show the Agent by default. The reasoning for this is an Agent will show as failed when the machine is turned off. Typically you don't want to clutter your NOC with Agent Status failures when they're not a concern.


  1. Log in to the SolarWinds N-central Administration Console (port 10000 interface) with your Product Administrator credentials
  2. Click on Default Parameters
  3. Scroll down to the Agent Status parameter.
  4. For the Show in the Active Issues View setting, replace the word false with true.
  5. Place a check mark in the Propagate box.
  6. Click OK at the bottom of the page.
