Windows Vista and Windows 7

For Windows Vista and Windows 7, the Remote Control Launcher may not be able to automatically open a browser window or any other application needed for remote control if the user account does not have Administrator privileges. This will be recorded in the Remote Control Launcher log file (found in %TEMP%/N-ableTechnologies/RemoteControl/logs) as "...is not executable due to Java security".

Network Level Authentication

Remote Desktop connections will fail if the target computer requires Network Level Authentication and the originating computer cannot support this (for example, if the originating computer uses Windows 2003). Attempts to establish Remote Desktop connections in this situation will display the error message: The remote computer requires Network Level Authentication, which your computer does not support.

Safari 6.x And Later

Direct Connect remote control connections are not supported for Safari 6.x and later. It is strongly recommended that Firefox for OS X be used to initiate Direct Connect remote control connections.

Remotely Installing TeamViewer

If TeamViewer has been installed on a target device using a remote control connection, subsequent asset discovery of the device may fail to correctly identify the TeamViewer Device ID which can prevent TeamViewer remote control connections from being established.

Propagating TeamViewer as the default remote control type may not work if one of the target devices is using an Essential license.
