Set the asset scan schedule for a device

An asset scan on a device is when the local agent collects information on the properties of a device such as CPU information, disk data, or network adapter data to monitor. Regular scans ensure that the device information is current to help in troubleshooting.

You can set the days of the week and month and the time the agent scans the device for updates. The default is every day. You may want to change this to be less frequent.

Asset scans are not performed on printers and network devices.

  1. Click ViewsAll Devices and click the name of the device.
  2. Click Settings > Local Agent.
  3. In the Asset Scan area, set the schedule of the scan.
  4. Click Save.
