Create DNS Record for Device
|Applies To||N-central 9.5.x|
|Last Revised||April 10, 2014|
For non-DHCP enabled devices, DNS records often need to be created manually for devices such as storage area networks (SANs), switches, or routers. This Automation Policy creates a new Host record in the DNS server database for a configured IP address.
This Automation Policy should be run against the DNS server in the network environment.
DNS Zone: <String Value> Forward Lookup Zone
DNS Record Name: <String Value> Gateway
IP Address for DNS Record: <String Value> 192.168.1.1
A DNS record will be created in the specified DNS Zone with the specific DNS Record Name for the configured IP Address.
