Running peer-to-peer Automation Manager policies

A peer-to-peer remote execution policy is an Automation Manager Policy that is run on an executing device that is a different computer from the affected target device (or devices).

 

 

Requirements

For Windows 64-bit machines:

  • Both 32-bit and 64-bit Powershell are required.

For executing devices to run Office 365 policies:

  • The device is actively communicating with SolarWinds N-central.
  • The device is configured in Professional License Mode.
  • Microsoft Online Services Sign-in Assistant is installed on the device.
  • Either Microsoft Online Services Module for Windows PowerShell or Windows Azure Active Directory Module for Windows PowerShell are installed on the device.

For executing devices to run SSH, Telnet, or Wake On LAN policies:

  • The device is actively communicating with SolarWinds N-central.
  • The device is configured in Professional License Mode.

For all devices that run Automation Manager Policies:

  • The Windows Management Framework Core package (which includes Windows PowerShell and Windows Remote Management) must be installed on the device.

SaaS Devices

This device class is used as the target for Automation Manager Policies that include Office 365 Automation Objects.
