License key

Re-activate or update your license if your deployment type or system limits have changed.

This feature is only available at the system or product administrator level.

  1. On the Administrator Console in the Central Server area, click License Key.

  2. Click Re-Activate.
  3. In the License Request field, select all of the content, including the BEGIN LICENSE REQUEST and the END LICENSE REQUEST lines.
  4. Copy and paste the information into a new email message and send it to the SolarWinds MSP Product Activation Specialist.
  5. If you are using Microsoft® Outlook® 2003, you must paste the license request into a text file instead and then save and attach the file to the e-mail.

    The Product Activation Specialist generates a new license key based on your license request and e-mails you the new key.

  6. When you receive the email from the Activation Specialist, copy and paste the information in the License Key field.
  7. Return to the SolarWinds N-central Administrator Console.
  8. Click Re-Activate.

    The limits of your customer's system limits, however, are maintained in the SolarWinds N-central user interface, and these limits would need to be changed manually if required.
